STRUCTURE DESCRIPTION

The farmhouse, central reception structure of the guests, is situated in a splendid position from which you dominate an extraordinary panorama: the Crete Senesi, the Val d’Orcia’s hills, the impressive “ Rocca” of Radicofani, the Mount Amiata, the austere Medieval Tower of Celle sul Rigo and San Casciano dei Bagni. On the first floor there are 5 suites, carefully furnished; each of them is made up of a wide double bedroom, a bathroom with shower and hydro-massage bath, reading room. The two swimming pools, one of which has a part reserved to children, are adjacent to the farmhouse. A characteristic village has been created in the place of the ancient stables and it is made up of nice and completely independent apartments with balconies and small gardens full of flowers, facing the small square and the internal courtyard. Some local artisans have created and took care of particular elements which are part of the furniture, with due respect to the Tuscan and Sienese culture. The apartments are made up of 1 or 2 double bedrooms, living room with fireplace and kitchenette, one or two bathrooms. The apartments are provided with household linen and all kind of accessories, like a real second country house. The Restaurant is situated on the ground floor of our central farmhouse, where, in a naturally rural atmosphere, but with a sober and careful service, you can taste a Tuscan cooking, mainly elaborated with the farm’s products. Wide meeting-room in perfect Tuscan style with availability of 30 small folding armchairs, screen and video projector, reporter table. Stalls or cda disposition. For the equestrian tourism, “ Il Poggio” offers to the most expert horsemen the possibility to ride in the country with several weekly formulas or stages to introduce you and examine closely the different equestrian disciplines, like the “ Introduction to the Complete”, the “ Endurance” and the Steeplechase, with our Federal and National/ International instructors.“ Il Poggio” is a F.I.S.E. ( Italian Equestrian Sports Federation) associated centre.
